Ashley's Birthday

Ashley's 19th Birthday & Chinese New Year

It was an eventful day! haha, apparently according to Ashley, I was the great give away for the 'Surprise Birthday Party' Sigh, i know i can't keep my face straight when i know something.. The worst person to play poker, cheat, and Mafia.. I feel as though my whole body tenses up and my eyes give EVERYTHING away!! But I thought i was doing pretty well today.. sobz! But all is not lost eh? It was great having our friends over..

Although there was several hiccups to the party.. Like the cake that Henry bought had no candles! Being the typical Msian I am, I thought birthday cakes come with candles!! Cheapskate Canadian cake shops.. grrr.. haha, so we had a cake without candles.. sobz. And although Henry used all his life & soul to protect the cake on the way here, the 1.5hour bus ride swinged all the icing saying 'Happy Birthday Ashley' to the side!! Poor Irene had to use a chopstick to 'scrape on' the words.. hehe.. More meaningful tat way eh? A personal touch to it! ahaha..

Besides that, we decorated the house with Ashley's fav color.. Purple streamers, some balloons.. Invited Peter (who came late due to some CNY prayers), Yuri, Irene, Henry, Kristine (glad she could make it), Ade and ME.. haha =) It was great! We ate some goodies, watch Bourne Identity (where everyone talked so much that nobody knew what was the show about except Yuri who watched it before 0_o *faint*) Den Henry walked Kristine to the bus stop to go home ;) Good job, Henry! hehe.. And he even went all out to wait for the bus with her! haha, he said,'How can u leave a girl in the snow waiting for the bus alone!!' Awww.. haha.. so sweet of him.

Oh, as u can tell, it was snowing on the first day of CNY! haha, there goes my usual super hot chinese new year's eh? It's still snowing and snowing.. Kinda cool!

Besides that, we got Ashley lotsa gifts and goodies.. haha, cool boat eh? Come visit me in Msia with your boat.. It has colorful flashes of light too!! haha.. And a nice U of T sweater to keep her nice and warm.. Haha, and a bear which has our voice in it ;)Hope she loves them all..

At the end of the day, Ashley and I had some meatballs which is, according to Ashley, soooOO good! haha, and Yuri seconded that! I decided to buy some last week as a treat for us both.. Chinese New Year for me, and birthday dinner for her.. haha, such a westernized CNY dinner!! haha.. what's happening to me?? Getting whitewashed ?? @.@ Yikes!

Anyways, it was a tiring day! Sigh, i have Linear Algebra midterm on Friday! Pray for me ya? Thanks!
