My Spore Trip

Warning: this is going to be a super long post about my trip to Singapore. Ppl who are prone to doze off reading extra long & windy posts, maybe u can just read the 1st para.. =P

Well basically, the purpose of my trip to Singapore is just to catch up with my frens.. So I really had 7 days of intensive 'going-out' to meet up with every single fren possible (which is impossible). I literally had to ask everyone which days they are free and start making a timetable to 'slot' everyone in. Dun get me wrong, I'm not trying to say I'm very popular or sth like that.. Just that I guess I've 'accumulated' some frens along my way here. =) Hence, as a result, I had 7 days of lack of sleep and extreme tiredness (as u can see, in some of the photos, i really look like a panda). but i guess it's all worth it. I even had to lug my luggage bag along on some days as I stayed over at NTU with Xiang on tue, Kor's place on thu, Jerrine's place on saturday and the rest at Pastor Lawrence and Fei Fei's place. My week flew by like nobody's business.. It's so weird how i had to say hi, i'm back, and den bye, i'm leaving.. *sobz* I oso wanna apologize to all those whom I didn't manage to meet up with, I really tried my best.. =/

Day 1
Met up with Jo Anne on the train to Singapore.. Hehe, my beloved JC roomie. (btw, i'm officially her triple EX roomate =P) It was cool.. we both squeezed into one bunk and attempted to watch some korean movie.. but in the end, her laptop failed us.. so we just chatted and chatted till we're dead tired.. hehe, and went to sleep. zzZZ Nxt morning, Pastor & Jerrine came to pick me up! Sorry to keep u guys waiting.. My train came late 45mins!! as usual, KTM... oh well, sometimes i wonder why i still like taking trains. sigh, me the loyal KTM passenger. (btw, Jo just found out that if u pee in the train toilet it falls straight to the ground... yucks rite? hahaaa..)

After resting and cleaning up a little, went to Plaze Singapura to meet up with Cai Ling for some shopping. After that, we went for dinner with my bro at Far East. Nice fried wan tan and pineapple rice.. hehe, and after that we went for movie!! Charlie & the chocolate factory.. Thanks Cai Ling, for the movie treat =) haha, watching that show really makes ppl salivate & crave for chocolates. Great effects and some parts were kinda funny, especially johnny depp..

Day 2
Went down to NUS.. Got lost a little (long story).. managed to find Jo Anne in the music room. I must say i miss listening to her play the piano.. brings back memories of our dunman days eh? It was beautiful.. Than we gave Low San a surprise, hang around Raffles Hall for quite a bit. Saw Yi Yong, Ian Rhee & even Chin Ling during teatime (surprised that they can still remember me). Haha, sometimes i wonder what it'll be like if i stayed on in Singapore. Staying in hall and eating in cafeteria's like this.. hehe, I guess I'll never find out..

After dinner with Fanni & Jo Anne, travelled even further west to NTU. Stopped at the wrong stop, so Wen Keat had to walk a long way to come 'pick me up' Thanks, Wen Keat.. hehe, after that, persuaded Shing Yong & Yu Chii to skip their inter-block games to come visit me at Wen Keat's room. =P My Asean juniors.. nice to see them again aft so long. After that, Wen Keat escorted me to look for my sec4 roomie, Xiang Ying! hehe, busy busy girl as usual. cos she was on duty for some JCRC thing, so had to wait for those ppl to finish their scrabble game.. ehee.. slept over at her place.. or as Wen Keat would put it, "squatting" at her place.. we chatted till it was quite late.. 2 girls squeezing on one bed is rather interesting, gd thing we are not fat... =P

Day 3
Went to look for my dear Chin Lee (or qi fang) she brought me here and there.. bumped into Yilin at the access lab too.. i really had a shock when she jumped on me.. hehe, Yilin is still as funny as usual.. =P met up with Li Ying and Thu Huong after that.. Thu Huong cut her hair!!! her 2 pig tails are gone... almost couldn't recognize her.. sigh, but she's still as skinny and weak as usual.. must take care ya?

At night had dinner with Shirley, Yong Howe, Elaine, my bro & Jerrine at Jerry's place. Wow, the buffalo wings there are like superb.. hehe, Yong Howe and Pauleon kor tried the Chef's challenge.. i think their tongues were burning!!! it's a pretty cool place, looks very western and homey (too bad i forgot to take out my camera).. after that, we just had this 'picnic-like supper' thing by some place i dunno where.. hahaha... so much for the description eh? but it was like we stopped the car by the road which oversees the sea. never did sth like that before but it was neat. Shirley used to be the cell leader when Jerrine & I were in IJ, like a big sister to us.. It's comforting to talk to her again. Until today, some of her words still ring in my head.. I guess it's cos she's been such a role model to me =) her words of encouragements always meant so much to me..

Day 4
Slept at kor's place the nite before.. Wow, it was pouring heavily the next day. Met up with Syahirah the next day in Bugis. Had breakfast..

Day 5

Met up with my TJ classmates for dinner. From left, Wen Keat, Alfred, Chiang Liang, Fen, me, Angel (talking on the phone) & Yilin. And we celebrated Angel's birthday in advance. hehe, Chiang Liang is still as funny as usual, and he still calls me his 'wife' (long story to be told another day).. hehe, & Yilin tried so hard to hide Angel's cake but unfortunately we still bumped into her.. hehee.. Yilin is too prominent laa.. That's angel's exact words.. hehe, ohya, Yilin & Angel, thanks for coming, i knew u guys had other prior commitments u had to attend to.

Day 6 & 7

Had lunch with my council frens.. Li Ying, Hui Yu, Chin Lee, Zhong & Kenneth came (Zhong's dream team ppl =P) but i'm telling u, Zhong & Kenneth really never do grow up.. even after NS.. sigh.. hhehehe.. bully chin lee all the time.. bad bad.. well, i kinda joined in the fun.. yikes, that makes me bad too rite? oopsie.. We had lunch at the 'pepper lunch' place.. was quite interesting.. and as usual Zhong & Kenneth had to go disturb the waitress.. tsk tsk

Besides that, it was good being able to see all my ex-cell members (Rachel, Delphene & Alyssa) grow so much. well, physically as well as spiritually. Alyssa, Delphene, Isabel & Sally got baptized that saturday. =) The cell group has grown so big since i last took them together with Jerrine. We used to take the boys too, Nick & Kennedy are so tall now!! haha, haven't got a chance to see Rayson though, wonder if he's still as talkative as ever. The girls actually had a surprise party for Jerrine. They even baked the cake for her.. so sweet~*

That nite i bunked over at Jerrine's place. =) and Jerrine happily decided to dress me all up in orange, and she had the nerve to look shock when i came out of the bathroom!! hehe.. but we had a good time of sharing and catching up after so long. too bad i couldnt stay for her 21st birthday party.. *sobsobz* ohya, Janna was suppose to come over for our girls' nite out too.. but Fei fei was afraid Janna might be too tired as we had a long day ahead on sunday. She actually cried and wrote both me and Jerrine a letter each. she drew a picture of herself crying and wrote I LOVE U at the top. I'll really miss Joash & Janna too.. the things that Janna says is ever so cute.. hehe, she even said she wants to go to Canada with me.. =) and i got lotsa hugs and smooches from them before i left.. *blush* lovely kids
