Thanksgiving weekend

My 'interesting' weekend started off by me going downtown to stay over at Mel's place Sunday nite.. met Xavier, Jing Ling and Mel at the subway station and we all walked around Korean town, going into Korean grocery stores.. And for dinner we went to that vietnamese tofu place again.. hehe, i ate my dinner already, so i sat there and watch them eat... hehe, well, i ate some of the side dishes.. I know daddy will love this, Kim Chi and all.. haha, but honestly, the Kim Chi was really salty.. Anyways, after that, we went to Xavier and Jing Ling's place for movie.. haha, Korean movie! So our thanksgiving nite was a really Korean one. Btw, as Mel would put it.. Xavier and Jing Ling's place was really like their love nest.. all the pictures and decos.. so sweet though.. I must say, Xavier is really one of those guys who is so in touch with his emotions.. U shud see him telling me all about those Korean romance movies. with such PASSION!! After that, went back to Mel's place and slept at 3am... and 5am up we get to go for our Algonquin trip... Ahhhh.. *yawn*

I guess you could just tell from the pics how pretty Algonquin is.. plus it is autumn, u get all the pretty red and yellow leaves. With the rivers and the lakes, whoa, picture perfect sceneries!! Weather was great too.. Was actually quite worried cos everyone was saying it's really cold in Algonquin cos it's 3 hour up north. Need to bring winter coat and all.. Phew, i didn't freeze.. We even ate ice cream on the bus.. hhaha...

But in general, the bus ride there was soooo long, it takes almost 3-4 hours just to get there.. at least the company was good.. talked sooOO much on the bus.. and slept a little.. and like they only gave us such short times on the ground.. i calculated, altogether maybe 2 hours?? so short.. 8 hrs on the bus and 2 hours there.. not really worth it was it? hahaha.. but we had fun taking pics and going crazy.. crazy malaysian sporean group eh? At first Mel was all reluctant to take photos, after that, she went crazy too.. hahhahaa.. Athough it was a rather pricy trip for seeing nothing much, the company was worth it i guess =)

After the trip, we went for good chinese dinner! yumm.. hehe.. you tiao wrapped in chee cheong fun is a really interesting concept. we shud hv this in msia.. hhaha.. oh, and Jerrine, i found out where the swatow restaurant is finally!! must ask the right ppl next time.. apparently, it's so good till the guys who live downtown actually go there for food even when it's freezing cold negative 30 degrees.. so i believe it must be great.. must go try one day.. haha.. oh no, this is so bad.. if i ever live downtown, i'll be so broke and fat.. aiks!!

After that, went home, Ashley, Henry and Tiffany made turkey made turkey, pumpkin pies, sushis.. wow... it looked so yummy but was too full for any.. so i had some the next day.. hehe.. what a feasting thanksgiving weekend.. Anyways, Irene came over the next day for some turkey, so i 'postponed' my accounting class to join her for dinner. AND, on thursday, Peter had some turkey too.. okok, i think u get the point that we have a whole load of turkey.. lots of turkey.. Ashley, u can be a mummy of a whole army now.. =P

All in all, my weekend ended well.. Was actually kinda envious how ppl get to go home for their thanksgiving. Not that we ever celebrate Thanksgiving in Msia.. But turkey, food, hols reminds me of home.. Seeing Emily pack her bags and wait for a cab is something i wanna do.. hehe.. BUT hey, who gets a chance to study in Canada and enjoy all these fun stuff? ME... always be thankful of what u hv, Zoe.. tsk tsk.. That said, I love u alll~* All at home, all here, all in every parts of the world.. wow..
