Thursday, February 02, 2006 Finding strength in all the madness Deadlines deadlines deadlines. job applications, assignments, presentations, interviews, midterms etc all demands ur attention altogether! sometimes, it's hard to keep myself sane. Especially when u've pushed urself to your limits applying for 20jobs!! i think that's the max i ever applied in my entire life in 2 weeks!! and what do I get? A nice email from the co-op department stating that "you have to apply to *well over* 25 jobs to show that u have made at least minimal effort in ur job application"Nonetheless, amidst all the craziness, God is teaching me how to handle stress. Stress management has never been one of my strengths. it's actually my downfall! haha.. That's what happened for my first interview with BMO. let me tell u how bad it was. woke up, pounding chest, tummy upset, had to go toilet 3 times, spinning headache waiting anxiously for my interview at 9.30am to be told that they are rescheduling me due to some technical error. more waiting till 3.30pm. that's 6 EXTRA torturous hours! sigh.. fumbled, paused, uhhhmed, ahhhed through my interview. *sigh* all bcos i wanted the job badly. Anyways, i'm getting my second chance now. Ontario's Financing Authority is 'interviewing' me next wednesday. =) not making the same mistake AGAIN. so far so good, 2 rejects, 1 interviewing. In all things, give thanks!! AND AND, i got hired for invigilating again.. YAY.. I just got paid for the one i did last year. I'll be doing 3 exams for midterms.. woohoo~ money *bleh* it's not much, but i will be able to finance my own 'reading week break'. awesomeness!! but i still can't decide if i wanna go ottawa or cottage trip with the sporeans... Ohya, pray for me k? My really nice university decided to torture me with 4 midterms in a week, 3 back to back ones AGAIN!! So I hv 3 midterms b4 reading week, and 4 after. Tried asking the profs to help me out with the time problem but apparently it only counts as a conflict if it's for finals, midterms doesn't matter!!!! hehee.. more complaining from me.. oh well, i'm just accepting the 'challenge' as it is.. *takes in deep breath* Miss u all at home~ Side note: Pilate is a great work out.. One roll can actually become one pack! =) oooh, tummy really disappears one leh.. =P and apparently it can even help u grow taller *waits hopefully* Post a Comment |
