first ruffle at work

After the long weekend (which i will also update abt it soon), it's back to work! today, we all happily stroded into the office. & u know what? I think what Dorinda say is quite true.. not trying to sound sexist or anything, but we as females do go through PMS. It's biological! we can't help it.. oh wait, i think hers is menopause.. once again, i hv nothing against her. she is *usually really nice (note to self: lock myself up during PMS period =P)

Anyways, this she-who-will-not-be-name person was irritated with everyone's work today. Almost EVERYONE kena yelled at for no reason today. For me: She was on leave for the whole of last week, & I was being supervised by most of my other colleagues. But when she got back, she taught me stuff that contradicted with what others taught me. So I *politely questioned her about the contradicting methods. uh oh.. wrong move! "I am ur team leader & u listen to me! not anyone else!" oops.. but uhhm, isn't olivia our team leader?? cos uhhm, our team is called 'olivia's team' no?

okok, since she is not most senior person ard, i give her credit for what she says la. but.. when u hv to use a statement like that to get credibility, i hv nth to say. Given, ppl with more seniority is definitely more experienced. However, in my opinion, with seniority comes pride, ur ears shut down, & u r less likely to admit u r wrong. Bcos of doing it her way, the next day, all my other colleagues had to correct the work i did. I feel bad, but at the same time, they und that it wasn't my fault. they just gave me that *knowing nod.. Thx guys!

ahah.. but next day, she was *almost back to her usual self, so it's all good. *phew

On a lighter note, today, we ran out of printer paper and had to get more. Vimala said to Jai (the indian guy who always get teased) "The day u refill the printer paper, i'll treat Zoe ice cream! i've never seen u do anything" =P I hv no idea why I was chosen for the treat!?! just bcos i was standing there? hahah, anyways, i told him, "u shud do it, just so i can get ice cream!" & guess what? i did... yumm! hahah..

Just a short blurb, Jai is a nice guy, just lazy, but smart! i think smart & laziness comes hand in hand.. He's smart, so he puts on some macros stuff on his comp which runs automatically. so he just sits there & wait for everything to come.. hence, making him lazy..

Another random note.. Do u know how much paper we use in one day? few BOXES for just my team.. And we refill the printer cartridge like twice a month. And the cartridge is like GIGANTIC!

Yet another random note, downsides of working in an office? U get paper cuts! & toner inks on ur hands sometimes. And the best work out u can get? Carrying printer papers.. hehe..
