my colleagues

my colleagues are awesome! =) wanna hear my little stories? haha.. firstly, we all hv little nicknames.. just bcos we have our initials on all our printouts, and mine is ztan.. so, u can believe how many diff nicknames they came up with.. first of course they went thru the phase of calling me JOEY or ZO like everyone else, den it became ZEN, den it's TSAR, den yesterday it was TARZAN... but i dunno y vimala started calling me JOY by the end of the day.. btw, I call Vimala VIMVIM.. muahaha.. and vajira is VJAY.. sounds like VJ (some college in spore), alan is ALEE (Sounds like Ali, malay name). Annabelle is AYAP.. which became YUPYUP! Christine is CWAR.. Jelena is JILLI..

okok, enuff of the cheap thrill of names.. but ya, all my life, wherever i go, ppl find thrill/difficulty in saying my name.. YES, Vimala says my name for fun throughout the day (she's sitting a partition away from me, so i can only hear her voice) but it's not a bad thing, it's not like their teasing me in a bad way.. they just find it cute.. =/ but.... after saying all this, i like the name my parents gave me.. well, admittedly, i went thru a phase of being embarrased of it when i was younger though.. NOBODY can ever say my english name properly when i was in Msia.. Den when i went to Spore, EVERYBODY found my chinese name -- en en, super cute and started calling me that just for fun.. haha.. ppl..

Anyways, work has been more fun in that way.. a happy day makes it go by faster.. u know, to fill in all my 'boring hours' i started doing 'odd jobs' for ppl.. like doing 'dummy funds' and printing out their trades for them.. which is easy but tideous.. cos u need to look thru gazillion emails to find the right ones and print them page by page.. and i'm oso a pro printout sorter now oso.. of course, i get all the paper cuts still =(.. in return, everyone is so grateful! cos i free them to do other more pressing matters.. haha, Vajira is treating me lunch today just bcos of that.. aiyooo.. (btw, just to clarify, Vajira is my dad's age, he's not asking me out or anything la) And jelena cuts me fruit all the time!

i'm officially doing 5 funds now.. plus 2 dummy funds.. next upgrade would be to do multi-managed funds... they were attempting to pass me a 15 manager fund last week!! and vajira got me out of it.. thanks ya.. phew.. haha.. i'm currently oso doing my 'code of conduct e-tutorial'.. wa, super boring can? 'what would u do if....' haha.. next would be QTS training.. speaking of which, RBC actually pays for professional exams.. say, if i take CFA exams, they will pay me back the fees if i pass it. neato!

Rambling on.. it's really a change working with 'adults', away from the uni. Conversations revolve around family, cooking and free stuff they get from subway stations.. haha.. YES, u get free stuff at subway stations.. too bad i dun go thru that route.. Vim vim will come in with free microwavable pizza, toothbrush, muffins etc etc. Christine and Jelena will talk about their grandchildren.. haha, YES, grannies.. Christine just celebrated her 41st wedding anniversary and brought in her wedding photos for us to see.. It was quite nice i must say, even the yellowy pages added some 'taste' to it.. suddenly, my parents seem very young.. just 25th anniversary. =P but ppl really marry young last time eh? Christine was only 21 when she got married. wow, that means if i was living at that time, i would hv been married by now! scary thought...
