Nua-ness

NUA is a singaporean slang word for..... like a feeling of.... kinda like lazy.. but not.. when u feel like doing nothing basically! haha.. I so agree with kor.. When u work 8-5 weekdays (930-6 for me), u dun feel like doing anything when u get home. It takes me forever to do something! I dunno why. It's not as if i do lotsa exhausting work in the office. Den I was thinking.. CHAM.. how do all those ppl with family survive ah? Where do they get the energy?

Breaking news: Zoe confirmed her airtickets to go home!! Dec 14 flying home, Jan 15 flying back to Toronto.. So ya, if u're in KL in dec/jan, call me up! I'll most prob be going down to Spore in Jan. HAha, a bit too early to be excited abt going home hor? But u must und, this is by far the longest i've been away from home k! It's more than a year already k... sob sobs...

And hor.. looking at the title of my post, ppl always think i'm from spore cos of the way i speak, all the slang slang.. Aiya, it's just cos i hang out with so many of this spore spore ppl ma.. but hor, i'm still very malaysian one k. sigh, dunno if it's a gd thing or bad thing. i know i change my accent when i speak to diff ppl. but it's kinda subconsciously. it's not as though i wanna fake or anything. GRR! I know how annoying it sounds when someone is trying to fake an accent. do i sound like that? AIKS! I can't accept this.. Spore and Msia not so bad la. cos quite close.. but CDN??? trying to sound like angmoh? uh oh..

haha, it's especially hard when i hang out with my spore buddies and my canadian buddies. Yilin said i started my sentence with canadian accent and trail back to singlish at the end of it. SO WEIRD. urgh.. =P And during the summer, Jessie and Irene looked so baffled when they hung out with Mel n I.. hahaha.. they say we speak so fast, switching back and forth from english and chinese till they couldnt und a word! =P oopsie!

Kk, enuff of my accent nonsense.. it's friday tomorrow! have a gd weekend peeps...

For some reason i can't publish comments. So ya, i copied and paste them here. This blogger beta thing is quite useless.. I can't even post pics from picasa anymore. weird. how to change back huh.

Cass: lol.. i can identify with the switching accents. when i speak to ang mohs, have to speak more brit-like. if not they can never understand me! and when some sporean/msian comes up to me and asks me a question i automatically go back to singlish. lol... my ang moh colleagues even asked me what language i was speaking!

Dad: Dun worry of using slangs, need to explain lor. Jeus also used figures of speech, epigrams, puns and parables.... Only those who understood got the msg.
