"Zoe, I want to see you in my office"

ARGH! I'm terrified of going into my manager's office... And he had that look of death on his face again... *zoe walking fearfully, running gazillion reasons why he'd want to see me in my head* Tries to get some hint out of manager "Errm, did u want me to help out with something?" NOPE was the reply. AHH~ "take a seat, Zoe" *i hv to sit? means it's not good news eh?*

"How long have u been with us Zoe"
"Erm... Since May? About 6 months"
*that's not a good sign, is he going to fire me?*
"When is your last day, Zoe?"
"Erm...Dec 14"
*Is he going to tell me that i can't go home dec 14????*
"ok.. you know when u sign the contract with us... u signed it with the main office RBC, not with RBC Dexia Fund Accounting Dept"
*what is this about???*
*Manager starts laughing and removes look of death*
"Apparently we are paying you the RBC Fund accountant rate, but actually you are under RBC Financial Group Co-op Student pay rate. Which is... about $1/hour higher than what you are getting now.. We are so sorry about that, and will be making the necessary adjustments, backdating from when you started.."
"Are you ok with that?"
*are u kidding me? what? i'm going to kick a fuss that u're paying me more?*
"Thanks, Crofton!!!!"
*literally ran out of his office*

Wow, remember my previous post "God provides"? Besides my overtime hours and invigilating during weekends... More 'cash flow' is coming in!! And then, when i got home, there was this unexpected letter from the govt giving the "low income" group some rebate because hydro bill has gone up or something. Well, it's not much, but it's unexpected money.. =) I guess my financial worries are really unfounded. Few days ago I was just calculating all i've saved up for next sem and all.. and was kinda worried i didn't save up enuff...

Side note: When you have good news, it becomes an even happier news when u hv someone to share it with. If there is no one to share with it, it becomes like a monkey trapped in a cage.. Frustrating, isn't it?
