Good Friday Lunch with MSG

Decided to invite everyone from MSG over to my place for a good friday lunch.. For those of you who do not know, MSG stands for Music Small Group (which is part of Varsity Christian Fellowship) not Mono Sodium Glutamate or the message.. hahha.. Btw, i just joined this group during their last 2 meetings.. Better late than never right? Pippa and Selina just randomly found out abt the group during the last meeting as well.. We're late bloomers.. =P I'm still really glad i found them, u know like the song, "I found where I belong, i'm a livingstone, in this house i will grow~" (side note: coincidentally, livingstones is the name of my DG in spore)

First pic, Janice replaced by Zoe.. hehe.. cos i couldnt find a spot where my camera can 'capture' everyone in the group pic, we had to take 2 =P Maybe i shud photoshop it into one pic .. haha.. Anyways, this is everyone! hehe.. soO happy everyone could make it.. it was like, awesomeness! Just before everyone came, we were praying for those who havent come yet and that they will be able to make it (we can't contact Thuy cos she had no phone). Right when we're almost done praying, *knock knock* *zoe opens door* tadaaa~ Thuy was standing at the door.. hahahaa, we all rushed to her and hug her.. what a beautiful sight ^^ God's perfect timing..

The lunch was potluck style, so everyone brought a little something.. You can't really see the food from the pics cos we 'covered' them to keep them warm.. But with the Canadian cold weather, it wasn't quite effective.. Let me try to list them all out. We had Sushi, Roasted beef slices (super yummy i tell u), Chicken Wings, Cantonese noodles, Dumplings, Chicken Rice, Vege, Mash Potato, Sweet Cornm Roast Chicken etcetc and not forgetting the Ice Tea and C-Plus that Jong brought.. ahha..

I say, food and music always brings ppl together!! They are 'universal languages'.. When i suggested this lunch thing, u cannot imagine the response.. Ppl reply in their emails that they are so excited and can't wait for good friday lunch. haha, and when i met selina in between classes on thurs she was like "i'll see u on friday~" such enthusiasm! =P well, i guess it started affecting me as well, my housemate said i was extremely hyper on thurs.. muahaa..

Everyone was nice and helpful, it took less than 10 mins to clear up all the dishes and garbage.. And den we just stood around the kitchen and socialize somemore.. hahaha.. ohya, after lunch, we watched Narnia! well, at least some of us did, most ppl had to leave part way.. I was quite happy I managed to book the residence centre tv... God really provides i tell u. Initially, my plan was to squeeze everyone in my tiny room and watch it on my computer.. ahhaha, den i realise the # of ppl coming makes it quite impossible. so i called my RA, who is super helpful!! Coincidentally, she was on duty, so she just open the place and gave us the keys to the DVD players.. yay~ oh, and also, special thanks to Dorinda who lent me the Narnia DVD ^^ we wouldn't hv been able to watch it if we didnt hv the DVD.. hhaa..

Walking from my house to the residence centre, it was snowing.. the piao piao, floating kind.. haha, kinda sets the mood for Narnia.. Pippa & Selina really enjoyed the show. Selina loves war movies!! In a way, i chose this movie cos it is sorta based on good friday. U know, how the lion sacrificed is like how Jesus sacrificed for us.. So i got to share with them the meaning of good friday! ya, all in all, it was a rather meaningful good friday for me =)
