Sister

Recently, i've been thinking about my role as a 'sister'. Esp since it is Joel's bday today too! Interestingly, i am in between 2 bros, which makes me a younger AND older sis at the same time.. Weird how in english there's no distinction between 姐姐 and 妹妹. Anyways, it started off when ppl from MSG were guessing which year i'm in, and most of them guessed either 1st or 2nd year.. I'm not complaining or anything. It just got me thinking, if it's bcos i look young (which i obviously dun mind, and pastor lawrence did say i look young :P) or if it's cos of the way i act.. u know how some ppl u meet (like Ann), u just hv this feeling they are like a big sis to u! which is a very nice feeling.. :)

I think the older sis side of me is quite underdeveloped compared to the younger sis part of me.. i know it may be wrong to say this, but i guess younger sis has more of the 'receiving' mentality and older sis has more of the 'giving' mentality.. and younger sis needs to be 'protected' rather than the' protector'.. haha.. do u get what i mean? just like how my aunt still calls me 妹妹 (mei mei aka younger sis) even though i'm like so old now, maybe i've not outgrown my 妹妹ness yet.. hmmm.. i'm not saying i hv to act old, just hv to be more like a big sis to ppl around me.. hahhaa.. to be more mature and such.. hahaa, is that possible? we'll see..

I guess it's not hard when nowadays ppl i meet are all so young.. born in 88, 89? that's like joel's age.. and they are suppose to be my peers.. i feeel old.. hahahaah.. now i und how lining and mel feels all the time... but surprisingly, i'm not worried abt being old.. well, not yet, maybe..

side note: i saw 3 boy triplets today when i was invigilating 1st year economics.. quite fascinating! they all looked the same, i thought i was hallucinating.. hahaa, and apparently they used to be models before they came to uni.. can u imagine? 3 tall guys coming towards u.. quite intimidating.. haha..
