The past week was a crazy one... I was working non-stop for hours n hours, sleep, wake up, work, sleep, wake up, work.. in the end, fell sick.. =P and that was how i spent my long weekend.. recovering.. =) haha, and coincidentally, someone (or rather God intentionally) sent this devotional email to me.... Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 NIV)
We are told to cast all of our anxiety on Jesus because He cares for us. All our anxiety. Jesus wants to take away the uneasiness and apprehension and fear we face at work. He cares about you and your work. "An anxious heart weighs a man down...." (Proverbs 12:25 NIV)
That is not the life Jesus wants his children to have. Jesus said, "...I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10 NIV). He wants you to have a full life and He knows that you will face problems at work, but he is asking you to give Him the anxiety so you won't be weighed down.
So what do we do about the anxiety we face at work?
Give it up to Jesus. It may be over your head but it is under his feet! "And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church." (Ephesians 1:22 NIV)
Pray "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petitions, with thanksgiving, present your request to God." (Philippians 4:6 NIV)
Ask God for wisdom regarding the situation. "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be give to him." (James 1:5 NIV)
Have Faith. "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." (Hebrews 11:6 NIV)
